Philip Emmenthal wonders after the death of his wife whether he has gotten his money’s worth in the sexual field. That is why he and his son turn their Swiss house into a harem, inspired by the famous harem sequence from Fellini’s 8 1/2. Here they hold 8 1/2 women, with whom they play out their sexual fantasies, until they find out that they cannot control the performance and the balance of power in the harem shifts.
